An advertisement in Dock Talk labled "discussion" ?

Some might look for this in FS/W.

New product / announcement might be a more accurate tag ~

What the Admin needs to do, is create an ADMIN only forum, for each forum section,
that is inaccessible, or invisible to the general public.

Then they can post what ever advertisements they want, to make them appear on the section home pages, ie:BOATS.
This way they can avoid disrupting the regular forums, and avoid giving the advertiser a
bad reputation, or suffering a backlash from forum users.

So even with a "PLUS" account you see these ads? I thought "PLUS" were ad free?

Well, remember, somebody has to pay the bills around here- and it is not the average user. don't forget, this site is still free for us to use.

"The Revolt 30 - for $30 off! Until June 30!" posted by awagar is easily recognized as an ad without even clicking on it.

backlash from the users?

Ah, but it is the average user who pays the bills around here by buying the stuff that is advertised. I just wonder how long before every forum is so crowded with oversize ads you won't be able to find real modeling posts. Money talks.

And it's still $35 more than you can get one elsewhere.
