Since its introduction over 50 years ago, the full-scale Ka-8 has smitten thousands of sailplane pilots with its friendly flight characteristics and impressive thermal performance. Even in today's era of composite designs, it remains a favorite of soaring clubs around the world.

The ParkZoneŽ Ka-8 sailplane is a marvelous reproduction of this German classic that will win the heart of any RC pilot eager to experience scale soaring. It comes equipped with elevator, aileron and rudder control, as well as wing spoilers that look and operate like the real thing. You can launch the model using an E-fliteŽ Hi-Start launch system or equip it for aerotow operations with the E-flite Servoless Payload Release (both sold separately).

One of the cool features of this video is a demonstration showing how you would launch the plane using the optional E-flite Hi-Start (EFLA650). This is a pretty neat plane you'll definitely want to check out.

Yeah! Amazing, isn't it?

As I said in another thread on this:

"Just thinking: I reckon it's hugely significant that Parkzone have brought out a "pure" glider. These guys clearly aim at the mass market, and they seem to think that there is a mass market for such a model. This can only mean there has been a huge increase in interest in gliders and gliding within the RC community (thanks no doubt to models like the EasyGlider, Radian, eastern knock-offs, even the Mystique, etc.), which totals up to great news for all of us (more buying power = more variety of products, cheaper prices, etc.) !"

Well having only flown powered gliders like the radian, I am looking forward to this one. That canopy looks like a perfect place to mount a GoPro.
