I'm switching over to the extra 300 prop on mine (10.5x9) after reading this

42 amps, 550 watts, power 25 1250 on 3s 10.5x9 prop

CG is not bad with 4s, but I like mine a little nose heavy. Also, I don't have to worry about nose overs since the two fields I fly at both have nice long paved runways

I haven't tried 4S with the Extra 300 prop with the Power 25. That's how I burned up my stock motor so I'm a bit gun-shy. I'm running the Power 25 with 4S on the stock prop and it really moves out.

I'm currently building a 2nd P47 razorback conversion and putting a big honkin' Hacker A30-10XL v3 900kv motor in it. It will handle the Extra 300 prop, and 4S. Wrenching on it today in hopes of a maiden tomorrow.

Well..the stock prop certainly turns more rpm and provides better takeoff power, while the extra 300 prop is a bit faster with better vertical using 3s and power 25.
I will have to buy a new extra prop, because I'm missing a little bit on the ends to be 100% positive with a conclusion, but as if now I actually prefer the stock prop on there

How did you fit the stock prop on the Power 25? Did you use a prop reamer?

Man, what a dummy I am. I've been flying with the wrong motor mount adapter. That's what you get when you have too many motors lying around. To make maters worse, I had to ream out the stock prop to fit the adapter i've been using. I made it fit but it was unbalanced. I didn't notice that it was unbalanced until I put a 4S battery in and hit WOT. The prop began to chatter at high speeds.

Thanks for the heads up. I now have the correct adapter and a brand new stock prop installed. Can't wait to fly it !

Thank God for these forums!
Richard
