Team Rebel Design: Beholder GoPro Brushless Gimbal, Now 3rd Axis


Disclaimer: We have noticed some of our (OEM) products has been put on GoodLuckBuy(GLB). GLB is not, and will never be our authorized vendor under any circumstance. Any purchase from unauthorized vendor will not have any corresponding warranty.

Update 9-24-2013, 3rd axis upgrade and 3rd axis will be ready to go soon.

Shipment after July 10th has updated firmware and appropriate manual is attached here
The latest firmware with preset PID for BruGi 49_77 can be found (and instruction) here

The Beholders shipped after July 25th are changed to use IMU on the top.

About the electronics. Our choice on opensouce is for its low cost and wider availability. PID tuning will never be perfect even only GoPro3 is focused. We do our best to provide you with fine tuned factory setting for the Ready To Go package to start with.

Can we attach video out cable for fpv flight ?

Currently, yes, it is Martinz board.
We preset the PID to the level that you can use it out of box with appropriate CG adjustment.

and YES, we leave enough spacing from the side to attach 90deg cable for FPVers

Why does everyone design these things with the tilt motor covering the access ports on the gopro? If you'd just design it the other way around, you would never have to remove your camera... ?

It keeps the lens closer to center, otherwise it would be much farther to the right to get it balanced.

Which controller? The gimbal controller is controlling the pitch and roll. You can also control your tilt and roll from the transmitter via the RC receiver.
