Graupner Shark

I picked up a Graupner SHARK the other day, and as far as I can tell, its complete..EXCEPT for the decals.
Im doing an inventory of the parts now just to double-check.
Obviously, the battery pack is dead.
Any interest before I slap it up on EBAY???

How does the Graupner compare to the SB-1 ?

Like a Ferrari to a Volkswagen beetle.

Meaning the SB-1 is way better or the Graupner Shark is ?

It is more like a bulldozer compared to a Ferrari. Or a tug boat compared to a cigarette boat. while the Neptune is built much heavier than a shark, the shark will fly through the water. It is a sub that isn't the best for cameras and all that. but if you want speed the Shark is the way to go, much lighter and much more nimble. Kinda like my bus versus a sports car.

Is the Graupner Shark static or dynamic ?
May 15, 2013, 07:21 PM

It is totally dynamic. It goes much faster than the Neptune and it is a much simpler design. It is a great sub but not nearly as complicated or as "research" looking as the Neptune or the Delta. It is fun little sub. It has a funny feature,, it has a Schrader valve (bicycle tire valve) that you pump like 2 or 3 psi of air in it. it is a good simple fast sub. I want one but this guy never PMed me or contacted me. So on I go looking for another one.

Graupner used to make lot's of really good stuff that sadly they've discontinued.

I'd love to find another Graupner Biene Glider. Discontinued years ago, but one of the best electric gliders I ever owned.

Graupner must have this thing about yellow. The Biene was yellow too like the Shark sub.

Good luck in your hunt for 'yellow october' !

Sounds like they are a pretty rare find.
