Do a Google search for Kombat Kopters

Re: gyroplanes

http://www.autogyro-rc.com/
is a good site for autogyro kits. My son and I have built both the Kellet
and the Cierva, In fact you can see the Kellett on page 154 of the March
2002 issue of RC modeler. That's me at the left of the picture.

If you drop by the site, tell Steve we sent you.

Another worthy site is http://www.autogyro.com/ where you can find a lot of
good info.

The links posted above are very helpful. Check out Autogyro Company of
Arizona's Gyro Bee as a beginner's autogyro. The conversion kit mounts on
top of a standard Lazy Bee fuselage. I have one in the works, but I'm
having a bit of trouble getting the rotor to go into autorotation at the air
speed it should.

Re: gyroplanes

You may need to shim the blades to get a bit more negative pitch.

Re: gyroplanes

Thanks for the info. One more thing I forgot to mention about the Gyro Bee
is that you have to beef up the Lazy Bee's landing gear box to accomodate
the gyro's long gear. Now, all I gotta do is finish up rebuilding the
fuselage from a previously-crashed Bee. (No I didn't wreck the gyro yet --
the wing dowel broke on my "regular" Bee and the fuse turned into a lawn
dart) :-(
