Size of the tanks depends on the tank it was modeled after as well as the scale. A 1/16 Sherman is 6 1/2" wide and 14" long, a 1/16 German Stug is 7" wide and 13" long, not counting the barrel. You can get an operational toy grade tank for under $200.00 and a good IR battle tank for about $700.00. The larger scale tanks cost considerably more and are out of my price range.

You can not legally do it unless it is 2.4 g radio. The rest of the conversion depends on your modeling skills.

I have a receiver that runs on a 2 cell lipo but my motors run on 3 cells. should I get a new receiver or can I use a transistor or a relay to convert the power.

The tank boards have a BEC incorporated in them that eliminates the need for separate Rx batteries. 3 cell Li-Po's should work fine. They are what I run. Again tank tracks width depends on the tank models size. Stug tracks are 1", Sherman tracks are 1 1/16", KV1 tracks are 2", M41 tracks are 1 5/8".

I have been doing Amtrak's or LVT's for about 5 years and tanks about 4. I have also been doing boats since 1978 and still have 4 of them. Never got into planes or cars.
