GWS A-10 with EDF-55s...worth it..?

Hi there

I've been wanting this airplane for quite some time now... I even returned my original EDF-50 A-10 after reading the posts here stating it was clearly under powered. For the people who have tried the two options (EDF 50 and 55) is the new upgraded version of the GWS A-10 worth the money, effert to build and fly...? I'm not looking to go brushless and add lipo batteries - just to use the equiptment I already have.

Thanks - Chris

Whoops - one more question...

What is the real difference between the two new EDF-55 units 150 and 300...? Obviously, the motor is bigger - but are you really gonna see much gain in thrust over weight...?

Thanks - Chris

Has anyone tried this setup yet...? My LHS says they'll have these in about a month - I'm just curious

Do a search - there is a bit of info on the 55's. From all reports it is a better ship

A friend put the EDF55-300's in his. It flies better but you need better batteries to supply the amps the motors want. AA's or A's so the weight goes up.
It's an improvement but not huge.
