To me it looks like the old 1080p version that doesn't work properly
If you buy it, you'll be wasting your money.

P.S. Most likely that's why the ad mentions 2012

Got it, lets wait till the #26 comes out......looks like you will be able to swap out the lens for the 120 degree one easy enough......

I've been waiting for this camera to come out but I agree with you. If this is only 70, i guess the #16 Lens D is what I need for my little copter?

Perhaps it is possible to use an external wide angle extension, just like the 0.67x extension I have been using with the 808 #16 A-lens... I'm not sure if that particular product is suitable for the new #26 cam, but we will see.

Hello! I would also like to purchase one of these cameras. Any news about the launch date? Mid April is long gone, it is almost May. Shouldn't the cameras be available for sale already?

Tom, is there a different thread updating us on the new 1080p #16? You said it would have a different name altogether, so not sure what to search for...

There will be an introductory status thread posted hopefully in the next week or two. I will announce it in the #16 thread, not here since this thread topic is for a camera by a different developer.

Good news. I'll cross my fingers for
-a webcam mode on Android using USB-OTG (basically like a live preview)
or
-an interface allowing us to stop and start recording. Maybe with triggers. For example: record a video on a specfic time or only when moving (GPS).

I can't wait for more impressions and samples from the #16 1080p cam.

edit:
I didn't mean GPS in the cam.
I meant when connected to the Android device (like a Samsung Galaxy phone), the GPS data of that device could be used to trigger video recording.

I don't think we will have GPS in these future cameras.
GPS is not for recording when moving, but some G-Sensor. The developers should include also a G-Sensor because I don't think is too complicated or cost so much and they could increase the possibilities. Just think about this:
- camera moving: record
- camera not moving: not recording
Just some vision is needed.

And this can be more accurate than the motion detect because we can have better settings.

But unfortunately I don't make the camera so I can't implement my ideas from the start but thinking later if I can add some sensor for motion.

The smallest camera with GPS I found until now is this CX4 and it even have a display!

enjoy,
Mtz

This is a completely different market segment. The highlights of both the #16 brother and the #26 is size and weight. If you want integrated GPS, integrated display or other features that add to the size and weight then these cameras are not for you

^ Just wait ~5 years and we will have a keycam with 4K recording, GPS and other goodies + 3 hour operating time thanks to new innovations in battery technology...

By the way, Nokia already has a 41 megapixel Symbian cameraphone and they will announce a WP8 version next month...

The sky is the limit in cool technology.
