I did not bring in any Carbon/Nylon - there has been almost no interest in Carbon/Nylon due to the fact most people in that size of craft want only CF props. PM me and let me know howmany you need, I order fairly regularly and can bring some in. I need to remove them from the posting.. sorry about that.

Brazil is VERY expensive to send packages, especially with tracking - about $30 - Just too expensive.

I just ordered some Gemfan 10X4.5 and was wondering how well balanced they are right out of the package, usually? I don't have access to a balancer right now. Btw, thanks for the special pricing!

Faaqna,
I have people tell me they are well balanced. Some say balanced out of the bag. My personal experience is (doing an extreme balance) each requires some work. Mostly minor, but as with any prop, they vary from to prop. For the price, I have not found anything even close to these out of the bag. Thanks for your order !

The hobbyking clone ones aren't too great, these (9*4.7) are better than my standard.

Dan,

Can you post a list of the GemFan props that includes the model names as the makers call them, part or stock numbers if they have such a thing, and, also what material the prop is made from. There is a lot of confusion as to CF meaning both carbon filled and carbon fiber and there is an obvious difference in the two materials.

They appear to make ABS, Nylon, Carbon Filled Nylon, and Carbon Fiber props and it would be great if everyone called them by those names.

Also, does the maker publish any RPM limits for the propellers?

How do the three materials compare in performance? Is it just a level of risk of them breaking in flight which decreases as they get more expensive?

The CF prop that was tested in this thread is sold under a different brand name but is identical to the GemFan CF props. It was made in the same molds and has to be from the same maker.

Carbon Fiber to Plastic Prop Comparison Test - www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1991794

The conclusion drawn there was the CF props attain a higher RPM for the same input power and can deliver the same amount of thrust with less power. And those combine to contribute to better battery duration.
