Question

Anyone fly with a Hacker A10-15s and a Glavak prop?

I am looking for someone that has actually flown with a Hacker A10-15s and a Glavak prop.

At $23 plus shipping a piece I don't really have the money to experiment.

I am flying the Spies (106 grams AUW) now with a Hacker A10-15s and GWS 8x4.3 and it has pleanty of power.

Not knowing anything about Glavak props I would GUESS the size would be 9x3.0.
.
Looks like these are the sizes:
SG 09x2.0 F3P (slim blade)
SG 09x2.3 F3P
SG 09x2.5 F3P (slim blade)
SG 09x2.8 F3P
SG 09x3.0 F3P (slim blade)

The plane will fly OK with any of those but if you want to be gentle to the battery and maximize flight times, one of the low pitch (2.0 or 2.3) will be the best choice. So if you are unsure about the 2.0 slim, take the 2.3 with wider blades. Remember to get the prop saver adapter as well (a tiny aluminum ring).

I use SG 09x2.0 F3P (slim blade) with my Hacker A10-15s. The plane weights 93g. I've tested 9x1.8sb, 9x2.5sb and 9x3sb, but 9x2 is more suitable for me.

Hi

Unfortunately, I guess, motor, plane weight and characteristics are to be considered. Most important is Take Off Weight. We had good results with planes under 100g like the DEX5 with 9x2.0 and 9x2.3 props. That plane flies slow and true. Further we also adjusted gas / throttle stick curve to meet whatt we need, especialy for torque roll. If we just change the prop, that relationship has to be redifined.

The Glavak props require quite some torque moment due to their hollow chords though. A friend of mine flew a 105% Disney with Hacker A10, it was about 125grams, Meizlick 8x3.? and Glavak 9x3.0 were not good for this plane (vertical climbs too slow, too much current draw).

SG 09x2.3 F3P
SG 09x2.5 F3P (slim blade)
SG 09x2.8 F3P
SG 09x3.0 F3P (slim blade)
SG 09x3.3 F3P
