Coolest Looking Radio

We all have different needs/wants when we look for a radio.

Putting all that aside, and based just on aesthetics, what do you think is the coolest looking radio?

Post your pics!

Yep we all have different needs/wants but we also all have different taste and certain what one finds COOLEST LOOKING may not be what you find coolest looking.

Here's what I think is the coolest looking radio.
DX18 with QQ switch covers.

Looks sharp! Does the QQ18 come with those switch covers? I had never noticed them before.

I also put switch caps on my 10c; now I can feel the difference between a bare switch, a long switch and a short switch.

Yes they do. When I ordered them my LHS buddy order multiple packs and put some on his radio as well. I figured I would also put some on my DX8.

switch guards

i was thinking on something more towards functionality than looks when i wrote this. after all, safety is 1st. and still may look nice for some.
i started a thread on: switch guard for tx
switch guard to prevent accidental activation?
with so many switches all over the transmitters, it's easy to flip 1 inadvertently.
i was wondering if there is a way to install a guard to prevent this. or design the tx's in such a way that we can add them at will.
for instance, on full size airplanes that have an ejection seat, the switch that activates the ejection has a cover that has to be lifted, to avoid going away unexpectedly.
or perhaps an enterprising fellow can come out with an add-on that does not cost an arm and a leg?
i hope manufacturers see this and think about it.
and that they not only bring the expensive versions with them: all should have it.
it's safety-just safety.
i got a suggestion to google on ebay and found this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/FLIP-UP-COVE...-/250800634875
and this: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PCO-5568PT/
i got some of the 1st, but they measure 5/8x1-5/8". too big!
they are great, but too large for our tx's. we need something-if it exists-no larger than 3/8x1". and so far didn't get any input. so it seems people care more for looks. maybe am ahead of my time-as happened with safety belts.

You are not ahead of time, just not looking in the right place

How about the transparent Orange transmitter, it even has lights in it and is super cool when you hold it up to the sun...

Followed your links but the switch I linked to needs to be lifted up to be able to flip it. This creates a protection like your missile cover just without the bulk.

But anyway...

BSBauman-can you identify the radios in the images? Are they real or just concepts?

For years I liked the Multiplex Royal Evo radio for its overall design. Even owned a couple- bought one didn't use so I sold it, wanted to try it again so I bought another... But I never put them into use because I didn't want to invest the time to figure out how to use them. Sold the final one after I bought and started using the Hitec A9. I HATE the aesthetics of the A9.

I really like the look of the new Jeti (but choke on the price) and the concept renderings of the upcoming FrSky 12+?channel radio. Because of my past history with radios, with every radio I'm attracted to I wonder about the ease of programing..

i would like to see some1 pinching the tiny switch to lift it up and then flipping it...while flying an airplane.
especially considering that most modelers fly with their thumbs, so need to have the rest of the hand holding the tx.
and $16 each, and having to re-wire them?
