Question about gws pico flight pack for GWS Tiger Moth?
I am getting a GWS Tiger Moth and I would like to use
a Hitec Flash 5 radio. If I get the flight pack from horizon hobbies Which one should I get gws2010 pico flight pack gws2015 pico flight pack f gws2020 pico (sub micro) flight pack (JR) gws2025 pico (sub micro) flight pack (futaba) If i remember correctly hitec radios are compatable with futaba style recievers. I am assuming that the gws2015 is the futaba version. The only difference seems to be the mAh of the batteries 150 vs 270 and the weight. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

You're right
The Futaba version is the right one, because of the negative shift (Futaba and Hitec). JR and others use positive shift, which will not work with your Hitec. Ask me how I know!
Anybody need a GWS pico JR type receiver? Free to a good home, never used. I did remove the longer antenna wire to use with my new Futaba version receiver, but other than that, it's untouched. Mike |

The manufacturer recommends the 150 mah
You will have to cut alittle to fit the 270 mah |

The GWS2015 would be the best choice for a TM. It would be even better if you could pay the difference and get their 300mah NiMH 7 cell pack instead. (EFL5001) Actually they are listed for four cents more than the 270's.
The 300s are the best conventional choice for the TM. They give me 15+ minutes. |

Were are these 300mah NiMH 7 cell pack??? in the horizon site?
I desperate need to buy the full house (tm, flight pack, without the transmitter) but with these 300 nimh pack. I'm thinking in buying a naro flight pack instead, since tha naro receiver have 300 metres range instead of 150 metres of the pico. |

Dave,
You took the question right outta my mouth, Or my keyboard I was just gonna ask if the GWS R4P futaba version would work with my hitec prism 7 or not. Now I'm stoked. with a 3 model memory that opens up 2 more slots for airplanes. I think I hear a Mini Max calling my name under the tree, but my wife yells at me every time I pick up the present to inspect it a little closer |
