How Much Motor? How Many Batteries?

Got a slimer friend who has an uncovered built-up biplane which weighs 2#. He asked me if it would fly with an electric motor....heck, if it ain't made of foam, I don't know nothin about it.
What do you think would be needed??
Speed 600?
10 cells?

Assuming a reasonable span for a 2# frame, I would say AF20G and 14 cells would give slimer like performance.

20G? Is this a new motor?

Is he willing to go brushless? Can he swing a 14" prop safely? If so, an Aveox F16/H160 and a 14x8 prop, along with 16 2400RC cells - zapped and matched from Hill's - would be a nice combo for that. I hope the wing area is around 550-600 sq." or so..
