AS350 Air Zermatt 700 Size Build

I love my mail man. Came home to this Giant package today.
WoW... BIG! Let the build begin. Will be doing pics and videos throughout the build. This model has hinged doors, sliding door, full seating, instrument panel, body rivets, decals, and More...

Must have taken up his entire mail truck

Packed with foam, cardboard dividers, and hot glue

Makes my Bell 206 look like a 600...

My opinion the most detailed one yet. Roban did a great job from what I've looked at so far. Hopefully start the build soon and everything goes according to plans. Can't wait to see how it goes together and yes I am a RCA pilot.

Hopefully start the build soon! Trying to juggle 4 builds and thanks to my late night browsing the other night now I've added a EC145 to my build list. I swear I shouldn't browse late at night when I can't sleep, I wake up and I can smell my debit card still smoking from a crossed the room the next morning.
Trying it get in my last purchases before my daughter comes in a few months. Won't be spending much on the hobby once she arrives

Build Session #1
Here is what I started with so far.

For the front seats I used a Velour Flocking texture kit. Back seats I just painted to match

Glued in the seats, instrument panel, and joysticks. Had to trim just a little bit off to make the seats drop into their pre cut slot.

Side and sliding cargo door open

Side view through bigger door

Instrument Panel

For the windshield I just lined it up, tacked it down with painters tape, drilled, and installed the four mounting screws. As far as the exterior details I used my hobby knife to open the holes up on the cabin a little bit more and installed the cable cutters and antenna. The water transfer decals slide right off the paper onto the fuselage without issues. I also put three coats of white paint on the skids and steps and epoxied the steps to the skids

Build Session #2

Had dinner and figured I would put another hour into it

Tail screw blocks mounted inside boom fuse, horizontal fins and navigation lights mounted, water transfer decals applied, and antennas installed. Next phase will be building the scale mechanics.

Build Session #3

Mechanics Build / Electronics Installation

Here is a look at the AS350's scale mechs, similar to Goblin mechs

Start by removing the side frame to reveal the inside

Install the pulley onto the motor and install onto the motor mount

Adjust belt tension and re-install side frame

Install boom rear boom clamp, tail servo mounts, pushrod guides, and torque tube shaft bearings

Slide boom into front boom clamp and tighten all bolts and install boom supports

Servo Installation

Servos are MKS DS1210's
Start by prepping the servos by installing grommets and bushings

Servos installed

* NOTE * Some servos may require slotting the frame about 4mm to fit bigger servos like the MKS

Servo horns centered and installed

That is all for tonight

Build is going right along will the manual so far without any issues other than the MKS servos not fitting and that was a quick trim fix. I can tell ya this, this bird is gonna scare me the first time I spool it up. It's my first 12s helicopter ever and the biggest. I get nervous as hell maidening a 500 size bird

I just Finished my AS350 700 size today. I went with the red, orange, and blue kit. The build Is easy as i compare it to Vario. I have built Vario's kits and this is a breeze!!!! I went with the Scorpion 500kv,Naza with GPS,castle 150 ESC,DJI bec,10s li, optima 9 reciever and binding to A brand new Aurora 9 radio. I will be building the Zermatt 700 like yours next go round.
