pursuit water

hi all.

I have just bought pursuit and all is good (not run yet )
But i have heard many people say you need to fit water suction as the flex shaft
Sits below water line therefor water leaks into boat via flex. Do these
Suction work and suck water out? ?

Any advise would be great!

What exactly are you referring to? Your best bet is to keep the flex greased and the boat sealed. Anywhere that water can get out of, it can also come in through.

From what i have read that these mono suffer from water leakage thru flex shaft as
That sits below water line. I will fill shaft with grease and see how it goes

I have a Pursuit hull, using a 1/4" brass stuffing tube and teflon liner to a stinger strut. The flex shaft is greased and I can't say we get much of any water in the boat.

Vernon.
Nearly all monos have the drive shaft below the waterline when the boat is at rest. None of mine leak water into the hull, including the pursuit that I had.

If it was a rtr pursuit, then possibly water is coming in by the hardware fasteners. Leaks can be tested in the bathtub.
