'Burky II' !..now available via Coolwind

Burky started out as a sketch whilst at work as a kind of 'cartoonish' looking. It was designed with the indoor season in mind but has turned out a bit to big for our small UK gymnasiums.
Made from 'one sheet' of 6mm depron, a piece of 6mm carbon tube, oddments of balsa and lite ply the prototype was constructed in about 2 hours. A cheap tower pro bell type motor is mounted up front, 18esc and a 1300mah 3 cell Lipo as its power supply.
I test flew it last week with a 2 blader and I wasn't happy, yesterday I made a set of FireFly blades and flew it today with those on top.

Well it flies superb and very much like the Fire Fly but far more manouverable.

I have nearly finished a MK II set of drawings and when I get the chance will build off them. I just have a few things on at the moment so time is very hard to find.
Also did some more testing with the RPG 700, it is getting there very slowly!

Regards

Rich

Thats a very cool little autogyro...I really don't know how you put them together so quickly.

Any way....I thought the RPG700 was already "there" on the basis you were looping and rolling it last time we saw you fly it!!

Rich,
I am still not happy with the 700 at slow speeds, when I get round to it am going to add some extra vertical surfaces, this should do the trick.

Rich, I really appreciate your designs and videos! You fly them in a very realistic smooth manner and you don't "hollywood" up your videos with music I love to hear the sound of the flying AG and the surrounding the flying site sounds! Thanks and great job on the Burky! Best, Aero

I have now completed the plan for Burky II and have built direct from it, we have an indoor fly-in tonight at Leominster so I will ask if they will let me maiden it. It is larger than the first but lighter with a shorter nose and far far uglier. I have swiped the U/C gear off the first one but will make up one up as per plan if it flies.
