Hello Mr_3_0_5
Ok now you went and did it. I love the little quads but with a GoPro WOW! Ok you have to share some pics of the quad so I can see how to mount that one. That was a great job real steady, Thanks for the video.
PS I like the original best
Carl

I see nice pic one of Chris's mounts right? I just didn't think of one on a 258 or One frame before. Love rubber bands! Nice job still actually like original video best. I will look forward to more from that quad.
Thanks
Carl

Pretty darn nice footage for such a small frame. Well done!

Best,

Rexless, how are you powering that?
I picked one up as well.

I'm testing this strobe on the back of the 355 right now. Seems to help. I've ordered a couple others as well... Might be worth a try...

It plugs right into the RX and powers off the AUX port.

This is pretty good quality! Nicely done.

So over the last couple of days I've been building up the M Frame 375 that Chris sent me a few weeks back. I finally had some motors and ESC's handy for the build. I opted to try putting the ESC's on top of the arms this time and I'm trying out the pre-soldered Hobby King power distribution board. It's too tall for the normal nylon spacers Chris sends so I had to pick up some longer ones. The propeller adapters should still be just tall enough to protect the KK2. On this setup I'm using the OrangeRX r620. I've programmed the DSM2 failsafes all to 0s just like the r615. I don't like the longer whip on the 620 for this setup but we'll see. The r615 has 2 antennae while the r620 has only one + a satellite port. I do have a satellite card but I will avoid using it for now. I don't think it's going to be outside the range of my tx anytime soon.

I was working on an LED setup today but unfortunately didn't calculate the wire harness bend distance correctly so it didn't fit. I'll have to use it for something else and try again later.

I've got the gopro mount on with my 808#16 on there. I've modified the camera to use an external battery which I've tucked in behind the goprop mount. I'm using the hobbyking 8x45 blades 3/4 of them needed to be balanced. Hopefully the wind will drop down so I can try this out tomorrow. Anyway, I just thought I'd share the build pictures on the new thread!

Awesome Video! I would not call that shaky - wow - I've had some serious jello videos - that one is amazing. Wondering how much a better camera would help me vs. just balancing the blades.

For those that haven't tortured themselves enough watching my previous vids - here's another. This time I played for the first time with Picture in Picture and unfortunately, the completed version has the onboard just a second or two behind the main footage. I'll have to redo it later if I decide I care enough.

Main Footage is an 808 #16 Keychain Cam attached to my sunglasses with Velcro. Onboard is my Emerson Action Cam. Toward the end of the video - I try (unintentionally) to bury the quad in the mud in a field behind my house. Came out okay - just had to readjust my landing skids.

I've got so much learning to do with this thing. I definitely need to keep adding time in the air.

Here's One.

Filmed today. Pretty decent cartwheel at around 8:55m and a quintuple flip shortly after that.

Nice flying Chris, are you using a DX7 tx?
If you are what are you setting the stick end points at? More than a 100 percent?

Ah, this is good news. I plan to to the same, very soon. Did you just follow the vid you posted in the last thread, and are there any other tips you can share? For example; did you have to reset everything? (PI Editor / Mode Settings / Stick Scaling / Etc.) I've been thinking about ordering a back-up KK2, but I really don't know what else I'll be getting myself into, because Chris had everything set-up for me.

I'm also thinking about taking a crack at flashing the ESC's and going back to the 20 amp one's to save some weight. My Skywalker 40 amp ESC's are cooking after a single batt. This may have something to do with the foam I placed underneath them for protection. I plan to remove the foam, then turn them upside down so the flat side (Heatsink side?) touches the arms...

I don't know Your thoughts anyone?

jsflyrv,

I think including links to the Armattan threads from the Classifieds on page one of this thread, might be very helpful to those who may be looking at them for the first time. There is a TON of great info, along with very helpful vid's made by Chris.

Thanks,

-Pat

I have three, two M230 and a CNC258 they are fast and a blast to fly and i like to hear about and see videos of other people flying theirs.

More information about Armattans here.
