Armattan's

As Chris finds it necessary to close the Armattan thread every so often I think there needs to be a thread open so that we can continue to discuss our experience's flying the different models of the Armattans that are continuously taking to the air. Anyone else building and flying a Armattan thinks so?
I have three, two M230 and a CNC258 they are fast and a blast to fly and i like to hear about and see videos of other people flying theirs.

More information about Armattans here.

The following links are to previous Armattan information threads, while some of the information may be obsolete
there is still a ton of good information to be gained from reading through them.

Not a bad Idea since we still go on flying and dealing with issues such as setting up and changes too improve flying characteristics for our quads. I have two now a CNC258 and a ONE.

True there needs to be a public forum for helping each other.

I also would like to locate a US based seller of comparable motors for the 355 series, etc.

Any ideas?

What ESC do you use with the 2200kv motors?

Hi rexless
I hope all is going well for you. Actually since I'm a new flyer I changed the ESC's to 30a SimonK ones that I got from YouTube gentleman called dhdlracer He made them for me. I lost one of the ones Chris made and decided after almost losing another to change them and have had no issues since.

greets back!

If you meant dhdsracer I've watched some of his videos. I haven't had any problems with the RCX 20A or HK 20A yet, but I'm thinking I'll try a 30A when I go for the 2200kv motors. I might grab some RCX 30A (SimonK'd) if I get some faster motors for the CNC355 and move the 1800kv to a CNC258 or the Armattan One.

Last night I flashed a KK2 board from V1.2 to V1.5 - first time... was actually pretty darn easy. I haven't flashed an ESC yet... I'll be trying it at some point though as I have some backup HK ESCs on the way.

Right
I typed that wrong and I have watch his videos also. Thats interesting as I also had a KK2 with V1.2 which I flashed to V1.4 yesterday to put on my Armattan One. It was my first try and went smoothly also for me. It's flyable but isn't really not done as yet - got a couple of pics on blog but want different landing gear so and working on ideas for improving orientation visibility -- got to help these old eyes out a little.

I'm testing this strobe on the back of the 355 right now. Seems to help. I've ordered a couple others as well... Might be worth a try...

good idea to make a thread that we can all share thoughts on these. I got my go pro mounted today but it was really windy. gusts or 30 mph or more easily so I didn't fly today. I did make a video a couple days ago with my cheaper camera i'm not going to waste your time with it cause the jello effect was very bad. I figured i'd try a better camera. any of you guy like the height dampening feature I have mine set to 30. it say 30 is the limit. what happens when you go past 30?

Hi
I have lights but don't show well so will check out strobe. I put a yellow foam ball on back but wind so high can't fly it today. I set mine to (30) also after I flashed it to V1.4 but don't know since not tried yet. Wind .

Also, sometimes it's hard to get true feedback when the builder/company is involved in the thread. It would be good to see people explaining issues and posting upgrade options, subscribed!
