What 250 kit did you get in the end, and what did you end up fitting it with?

Copterx 250 se fbl
Turnigy 2627 4200
Turnigy Plush 25 with blheli
Tarot ZYX-S
OrangeRX 615
Either wk 7.6-9 or HK-15178B servos as cyclic
3DP-DS9257MG as tail servo.

replaced so far in kit, align belt and a bent bottom plate in the tail house.
going to replace the tail parts with align tail pitch assembly and the new align weighted tail blades/hub. As my kit had to much slop in the tail for me to trust it.

Build is currently paused as i'm awaiting parts from rc711.

Yes, this is the way I would go, rather than spend more on the MCP
- better to spend the money on a nice new 250, or a 450, rather than try to upgrade the MCP to try make it something it's not....

Indeed, im building the 250 to get a feel for the kits. Then later on the road ill skip the 450 and go for a 500.

Though in hindsight i should have gone for a 450 instead of the 250, but as i already had the motors, esc and cyclic servos this ends up being cheaper. But will be much harder to build an setup the gyro for.

Atleast from what iv read on all 250 size heli kits.

Do you mean, it's harder to setup the gyro on a 250?

I've only done 2 - the Gaui X2 and the previous ... *ahem* project. I didn't find the Tarot at all bad to setup. In fact, aside from tuning the tail because it not being TT/Belt, I'd say you can load a soft3d setup and just go from there. I suspect it'd work fine.

I wasn't too keen on this when I first read about it
- but seeing all the problems people are having with CopterX 250s, and how expensive a good quality Align 250 is, suddenly spending a little more to get the MasterCP half decent doesn't seem like such a bad idea after all!


For about $100 a full brushless & Gyro upgrade ought to be possible
- radio & gyro - $50
- Brushless main & ESC - $25
- Brushless tail & ESC - $20
- new tail-prop?

Anybody else tried this?

I was also wondering about putting a Tarot 250 head on the Master CP
- any one know if it's possible? same shaft diameter, hole position etc?

Not possible. Completely different servo locations.

- right - the MasterCP has a Front Elevator, and Align/Tarot have Rear Elevator/anti-rotation..
- so, the MasterCP swash has to stay ...

What about the rest of the head?
