What do you use to join the servo to the top skin?
The same epoxy that they were glued to the bottom skin with? Or something like resin and balloons?

Bit of carbon plate or ply will do. Depending on the gap , 5min epoxy with a little filler in it is fine.

Only times in the past I have glued upper and lower skins with Servos in between is when using Metal Geared ones. Just ordered Mini DS125's and Timber frames to suit for mine.

Time for a little FS dune bashing 20knots and building

I only glued my servos to one skin, and they did pop when I crashed very hard, but never popped prior to that. The crash that popped one of the servos involved some very high speeds and total destruction of the airframe, so I'm not suprised. I've been using Devcon Plastic Welder to glue my servos in, and I've not had any issues with servo's popping on anything.

If it is at all possible, I still think it's better to put the brace across the top of the servo, I just mostly couldn't be bothered.

By the way, I'm 100% positive that the servo popped AFTER the plane hit the ground and not before!

Alex that will be an interesting vid.

It's still raining hear on the gold cost,it's holding me up on mold making to much moister in the air you run the risk of the mold de-laminating.
