The frame was definitely larger than expected. Feels very solid. Can be bent slightly, but it will not twist. One thing I didn't like.. Maybe the motor holes should be re-arranged to that you can get a quad on which the motor wires will always point towards the middle.

So it won't look as clean as it can be. Not a big issue though.

It's all I can do for now though! I'm stuck at work but I took the motors with me for a quick test mount. As soon as I get home I'll slap on the ESCs and FC. Then the FPV gear.

I think I'll use my 20A SimonK ESCs on this one to get a much quieter and more responsive quad.

I'm going to use the HoryzonHD on this thing too, because it runs off receiver power and I need to keep the weight down. I'm limited to the stock DJI props and they do not like high loads, but the improved V2 props should work well on this one. I'll stick to 4S for now, so the flights will be short but intense!

Now, about the motor holes... I don't know if the wires come out of the same place on every motor out there. This is not a standardized thing, so even if you rotate the holes, they might not work for some other users out there. One solution is to use ONLY 19 mm holes, on such a small quad two screws should be enough to keep the motor in place. But that's up to you.

Hello Esevilaa, nice frame mate. Where did you get the headlights that you've used (saw the pic in another thread) from? HK?

Thanks mate!

I got them from a chain we have here in Sweden that sells cheap random stuff clas ohlsen, just normal 12v lights, I'm pretty sure hobby king have them, or just check out your local light store, same with the one on the back, good thing was it was too long so I just cut it.

Those headlights light up a whole room but amazing for orientation.

Bit of a progress report. Not quite as clean as your build. But I really can't be arsed to hide all the ESC wires. I'm going to ziptie the motor wires to the frame soon then hover in my room for a bit to see that everything is OK.

I have found it is better to cut slots in place of holes that way any motor can fit
