Thanks for all the replies!

You are right Pete, the motor should be a 2212-06. I've corrected the first post and build guide.

I'm working on getting some video, but it will be a while.

All the best.

I have received permission from Marcel to Kit these.

Foam only kits on 3 sheets of 6mm x 39 x 13.5 Depron.

I have placed the plywood part outlines on the foam
for use as a template.

Thanks again for another terrific design

I'll have to build one of these and test it on Grass !

Should be a nice replacement for my Polaris.

Bob and Marcel,

Been working your design to meet my needs in Sketchup.

Here is a few screen caps.

Ken,

What do you expect different by using a KFm2 wing?

Ted,
The KFm2 adds a noticable amount of improvement in lift and gentler stall characteristics over the flat plate wing. Of course there are even better performing airfoils, but the KFm2 is quite simple to build, and adds more stiffness.

I realize the flat wing on this model will suffice, but I have had so much fun with this airfoil on aileron equipped models that I just totally sold on its merits over the flat airfoil for planes of 30" ws and up. I like and prefer the flat wing for smaller models and 3D types.

Marcel has done an awesome job here, and I don't want to infer that somehow it is less than it is as it is. Just add my twist on it for my build that I believe will be value added.

Marcel,

Thanks for bringing this beautiful design to life. I have a soft spot for flying boats and amphibians, and your design process.

SketchUp is just one of a few CAD systems that I use. Took me some time to get used to it, but getting better as I go along.

Thank you again,
Ken
