That is SO cool!

I would love to see it close up. I wonder if it was wrapped tubing or pultruded?

Do you guys suppose the foam against the triangular webbing is for buckling loads. It appears to be carbon 12k tow against the foam

Is also carbon on the other side of the foam? That is the only way the foam would make any difference to the structure.

Given their need for absolutely the lowest weight structure, that is the only reason I can see for them leaving the foam there.

That's awesome! Two years ago my college had Human Powered Helicopter as one of the senior design project choices. Sadly, nobody chose it and they haven't offered it since
