Coating the inside of a hull

I've been reading the build logs and have a question regarding the resin. Should I be using a two part resin, is there anything but a two parter and should it be thinned. And finally what's the best way to thin it. What should the consistency look like.

I like the pacer z-poxy
Really thin
No Oder and dries hard and smooth

West would problly be the most highly recommended

I've been telling everybody for years about Smith & Co. Penetrating Epoxy Sealer. It's thin like water and soaks in deep. It's so thin, you actually have to look twice on a treated piece of wood after it dries.

Here's a clip for rotting wood treatment. This is only one of the many uses for CPES. I love to use it as sealer on new wood.

Buy the pint kit at

Smith & Co. CPES (3 min 7 sec)

Z- poxy help suggestion to try

In the past couple days I have tried warming up the Z- Poxy before mixing. I placed the bottles in hot water to warm them before mixing. With doing this I found that the resin was thinner, mixed and went on much smother with a lot less orange peel look. I feel the reason for this is the resin was too cold and wisent able to flow as it should.
I keep the Z- Poxy in the basement workshop and there is little heat overnight so the Z-Poxy was too cold to use and needs to be warmed up before use This has worked for me so give it a try and see if this helps for you , check out the pictures
