Rc Convair 990 & 880 EDF Airliners!

The Time Has Come My friends! I can't delay this build any Longer, I've been waiting my Entire Adult Life to start my Convair 990 & 880 Build! This very well be the First time either one of these jets have been Modeled in RC form, I hope to Build these In my conventional way with a single bird as the "Mold-Mule" and make molds of the Nose, Tail, & engine nacels for the 990 & 880.

This build will be a tad slow for the next 2 months with SEFF & Joe Nall 2013 Coming up But after these shows this 990 & 880 Builds will Really Heat up!
And this build might be one of my last for 2013 considering how many other projects are underway, I expect to have The JAL & American Birds finished by the end of this Sumer.

And the Most important thing is your Input & ideas and suggestions on this Build!
I look forward to all Conversations As I construct these 4 engined Giants!

Ah man, I have been waiting for this! The 880 was really the first airliner I wanted to build, but I needed to get other builds under my belt first.
This was one big-time hot rod in the full-size version, I'm sure yours will be too.
Love the odd ones that aren't modeled much, would love to do the United Caravelle in a 60-70 inch wingspan.
Good luck!

Classy choice, the 990 would be easy to build with scale nacelles. The shock cones are always a visual feast as well. Here is some 880 smoke:

Thanks Kevin!, The 990 will be my Largest EDF airliner to date, I'm almost positive Noneone has built either on of these babes, I have Read almost every RC Flight Mag Out there over the last 30 Years and NEVER seen one.

DC-8s, 707s Yes But Not these.

880 & 990 Models

It's Crucial to have Models of the planes your building so you can use them as a reference.
