Canopy mold method
OK so I have got my Supra plug finished with no hatch cut out. Ideally I would like something like Vladimir's hatch system.
Here is my thinking at the moment.
1. Layup an oversize glass piece in the hatch area then shape it to a nice hatch shaped mold.
2. Lay the mold back on the fuselage and scribe around it to make a hatch outline in the plug.
3. Make the fuselage mold with hatch outline molded into it.
4. Make a hatch in the hatch mold and glue it into the fuselage mold using the outline in the mold to register it, thus creating a recess in the final fuselage.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
