It would need to be an indoor pool, but i wouldnt risk running it much deeper than is recommended in the instructions. The instructions say 7.5 inches depth, and some have run it about 10 deep without issues but much more might invite leaks to creep in.

I run mine 10-11 inches deep all day long, and haven't had any issues.

However, I don't know how much deeper I'd go than that. I might go to about 2 feet, mainly because it's an inexpensive gadget, but I don't think I'd want to run it in a pool that was more than just one of those kid's pools.

Is this the same sub as the Trumpeter Emden U16 re-badged ?

No, I had a Trumpeter sub. If we're talking about the same Trumpeter, it was the same as the Graupner. This is much smaller and easier to control. This is only 3" long, and I think the Trumpeter was about 5" long. I was never able to control the Trumpeter's depth, but I do OK with the Air Hogs sub.

New video coming soon. ...hopefully! (Still waiting for LED aquarium lighting from China!)

Yes, I thought it looked bigger than the Air Hogs Sub.

I can't get one. Seems as though Amazon & Toys R US won't ship to Australia

If you would like, I could pick one up at Toys-R-Us Friday morning and send it to you. You have your choice of white or grey. My cost at Toys-R-Us is $44.49 including sales tax. First Class Mail (slow) to Australia is $16.75. The 4% PayPal fee for $61.24 is $2.45. The total would be $63.69US. Priority Mail (roughly 2 weeks) would be $39.95. The PayPal fee on $84.44 is $3.38 for a total of $87.82US. With Priority, you can add insurance for $2.45, but they only allow you to insure the item, not the shipping cost. They won't insure First Class Mail. I assure you that I'm not making a cent on this, but that's OK. These subs are so much fun, I want everybody to enjoy them!

PayPal is the best way to pay, as it protects you if I decide to leave town with your money. I sell on eBay (seller I.D. is ricomon!), and I ship internationally quite often, and I've never had a lost or damaged item that was sent to Australia.

Let me know if I can help you.

Thanks Rick,

That would be awesome.

Payday for me is next Friday, 19th So will do that if that's ok. (I'll just go with the slower shipping to keep the cost manageble).

Thanks heaps.

Paul.

No problem, whenever you're ready. As far as the slower shipping goes, sometimes they put First Class on the same plane with the Priority Mail, so it gets there almost as fast.

Thanks Rick,

Let me know the paypal address and stuff and I'll pay that Friday 19th.

I have bought a fair bit of stuff from the US and all pretty quick with the normal post.

Cheers,

Paul

I sent the PayPal info by PM the other night. If the payment is early enough in the day, I should be able to ship it out the same day. (Sorry, they won't let the nearly blind guy drive, so I have to do these things on my wife's schedule.)
