aquacraft hammer help

Hi all new to the r/c hobby I picked up this boat used it had no controller with it, so i found a hitec aggressor am radio on e bay but I am not getting it to match up I have changed the crystals to match from controller to the receiver in the boat. I guess my question is can I use a hitec controller with a aqua-craft receiver using the same crystals. I tested the motor and it is good and when I hook up the battery to the boat the servo for the rudder acts crazy. any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a canal in my backyard and no toy to play with...

For the most part a 27Mhz AM system is interchangable.
It will not work to put a 75Mhz crystal in a system designed for 27Mhz (and vice versa)

It may work, but in many cases, that does not work well. You need to match the receiver and the transmitter. But do not spend money to match those old radios. It is wasting money.

Get this 2.4 Ghz radio. The price is very affordable and the qulity and performence are very good.

I enjoy using this radio. I hope it helps you.
