Hello people I write after read carefully'm wanting to build my PHANTOM settings so that may have the greatest possible stability and autonomy of 1.5 to 2 hours.

HK15148B Digital Servo 19g / 2.8kg
60A ESC 4A UBEC
Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 - 3542-1000kv
APC 10x6 E-prop
3S 4000mAh x 3

APM 2.6

FPV 1,2 GHz

Telemetry DragonLink v2 2.4Ghz

A query to achieve my purpose I hear about battery and servos, which are the best?

New happy Phantom owner here.

Thanks all for the advice. I went for

- Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 - 3542-1250kv
- Graupner folder with Aeronaut Cam Carbon 9.5 x 5
- Plush 60A
- TGY-306G-HV MG digital servos
- 2x 3S 2100mAh 35C in parallel (for now).

Maiden today was simply amazing in its effortlessness. I threw everything at it in the very first flight and found excellent performance including unlimited vertical without any bad surprises. Very well behaved and easy to fly.

Only thing to add is some tape at the bottom for protection.

If anyone is interested I started a group over DiyDrones for APM users to share configs and other goodies, still in it's infancy.

Just maiden my first phantom build with success. No complaints, great so far.

-immersion system
-runs 4s and 3s
-1100 kv motor with 9x6 prop
-IBcrazy dipole on rx
-Alum tape skin on top side

So far im getting a strong rx signal and seems to hold together under high speed (over 80). Looking forward to putting this rig through its paces.

Gotta love that motor in the phantom Yes you can get away with less but after trying one it's pretty hard to go back..

?? do you realize what that tape will be doing to your radio signals? There's a reason why no one uses aluminum tape on FPV models..

So far i found one post with pics about split rudders. Anyone tested "true" drag rudders on this plane?
I would like to remove vertical surfaces at all, this should eliminate stupid yaw on side wind.

On other hand... Probably my first post in this thread, so i share setup (another one coming soon, for experiments) - flown >> 500km already, so proven and working.
Desk inside (now added mic, some aditional components):

Using AUAV3 autopilot, 2.4GHz unboosted frsky. This wing is good, because it's easy to separate components and have very low interference, for example, i flown 10km with this plane and still had plenty of RSSI (i guess, even with vee - "acro" antennas i can have 15km, will verify later; ignore RSSI on screenshot, forgot to connect wires :P ):

Also, not bad endurance. I can fly 50km with one 4.4Ah 4S battery, but this is still far from 2x50km posted here. Hopefully drag rudders could improve performance a bit.
Even when going > 45 up i can get good range and good performance, for example one flight above skies (still using the same 2.4GHz frsky - clouds are real killers for this frequency):
Above clouds (or "testing 2.4G limits") (2012-2013) (9 min 54 sec)

Some things i dislike:
- stupid, really stupid yaw, esp. with side winds
- flat bottom without washout -> miss CG a bit and you get spin, very easy. I still fly with way too forward CG
- "middle desk" design on phantom sucks a bit (motor covering, middle part with FPV cam mount, etc). This could be improved with some DIY...

If everything OK, with full-size drag rudders i could get rid of current fat rudders and improve sidewinds performance. Anyone tried this?
