I fixed the battery mount and it broke again. I have just replaced the front 4" of the center section and added a piece of wood 1/4" thick under the battery 12" long. My wing loading is 3.8oz/square foot!
No wonder it glides so well! I gently tossed it and it went 15 feet with no power and no control!

35"

I printed the plans out for the 35" version yesterday and started cutting foam. Will glue it all up today with one change, I didn't add the blunt nose section and instead of burying the electronics in the wing I built a pod like Ed with "experimentalairlines youtube user name" does and mounted a turnigy 2211 2300kv on it, this thing flies better than an EPP Scythe I ordered a couple years ago from Crash test hobby. So, I want to say this wing is a winner.
See pic the Scythe in front, the new wing behind.

Hey Bix
I can't seem to locate the cog for the 35" version, kind of hard scrolling through this thread on my cell phone. If you have posted it forgive me for asking but, like I said this thread is pretty long.
Again I have a 35" almost finished just need that cog so I can install the rest of my electronics so it will balance. When I get her finished up I will post a pic.
Thank you kind Sir.

Jack

Would the 35" fly a Runcam 2 or Go pro or is it too small for that?

RunCam definitely. I used to haul a möbius on my 35" wing.

I was looking at building a wing and came across this amazing plane! I have never flown a wing before but I have a ark bird fc on the way. How easy is it for a wing beginner to fly? Looking to build this as my main fpv rig. Any help much appreciated!!

It is very easy to fly. In fact, I do not think there is a plane easier to fly... if it is built well it is a pure happiness dude !

Crash,fly,crash again....
I have started building my first flying wing, the 54" version. I hope it goes well, but I have a question. What motor should I use?
This one (1400kv): https://hobbyking.com/en_us/d2826-10...ess-motor.html
Or this one(1100kv):https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-...ner-motor.html

I'll be using 3S 2200mah LiPos and I have 8", 9" and 10" props. Thanks!

Hey guys, i think it would be awesome to resurrect this thread. From what i have noticed is that this is a wonderfully easy build and it flies amazing, and there's not that many people flying it. In fact i might go on a limb to say that i can't find any simple wing plans that fly as well as this one. It would be cool to get more wing guys on here. I think there's something special about making your own wing because of all the flexibility. If you agree, how can we get some more activity here?

Also:
I spent the last couple of days (Christmas break) fixings stuz14's monster wing plans because sadly after constructing them there were some big defects. However comma I used the wingcgcalc screenshot to make new ones with fusion 360 and illustrator. I posted the fixed plans in the thread he made for it. I constructed it and boy do his pictures not do it justice. Its absolutely giant. I also maidened it today and it sure does fly. I had to tape a bunch of batteries together to get the cg right. Its definitely made for long range. Im going to try and dial it in and put a flight controller in it. id recommend it to anyone who wants to have a good laugh at how huge it is. Each wing can be made with two 20x30" foamboard sheets and another for the center. Im running a sunnysky 1250kv and it does pretty well.

Flew the monster wing with a 10000mah 4s and it flew soooo good. Had a glide slope of about 7:1 and just floated forever. Until i crashed it full throttle into the ground and it exploded into pieces. All electronics are okay though.
