Where to get Mylar in Brisbane?

I am keen to cut out using balsa for skins on my models and would like to give vac bagging a try. I already have the pump set up which I have been using to press my skins on however I have not been able to locate a source of Mylar to lay up my cloth skins on. Any Brisbane, Australia suppliers that have been used would be greatly appreciated. I should add that I am looking at this for a large scale glider build, learning from some of the fantastic work I have seen on this site.

Danny "Mylar" is a DuPont trade name for biaxial orientated PET plastic (boPET).

I got mine a few years ago from an electrical wholesaler. Google BoPET and you will have more luck

That's good Jeff.

What thickness do you suggest for control surface wiper making?
For retaining the splooge fill I mean, not for using the mylar itself for the wipers.

I use sticky tape for this - cheap stuff

Will have to dig out the e2k thread and find a link

Oh! I think I see what you mean. Just tape, no Mylar (plastic) required.

Very good.

Thanks Jeff.
