I just checked and the shipping has gone even higher. Now it is $96 to ship to California. No wonder they have had 10 units left for months.

That is a good idea. Maybe you can check out parcel post prices and make some money off them Tell the manager you will buy a few if you can get bulk pricing for an even better profit

Holy smokes that is a big foamy! Here are the pics and my assessment of the fuselage and cowling. The whole things looks good to me, the cowling is thin but in one piece and I have fiberglass if it needs to be repaired. Check out the pics:

I don't need yet another plane My eflite hurricane BNF that I scored on ebay for $150 should be arriving on Monday and my mother doesn't like how much space all the planes take in the house. And yes, I've suggested that they are decorations but she doesn't believe that

Badpilotto. You should have picked one up for me. On my way to pick up a bunch of stuff I could have dropped in and given you a premium for pickup. Too late ..got the Hurricane going to Oroville WA.

I am only guessing but suspect that Hobbyking HQ sets the shipping rates, not the US warehouse, which is why the cost to ship the Decathlon is so outrageous! Obviously, the minds to be in Hobbyking, who set strategic policy, fail to understand foreign culture and only just began to grasp pricing in the last year or so. One day maximizing efficiency will become tied into the equation along with customer satisfaction. Till then, grin and beer (spelling intentional) it.

I love this plane, more than most, but the shipping is a killer. I have wanted it for quite some time now
