Anyone purchased one of these birds yet? I like the 109 for a possible baseball field flyer but would like some details to back it up.

"mini"?

Looking at the PA34, it says it's made of Depron. Is that correct?
Seems to be a Kyosho

I bought the Edge 540T (RTF). Haven't maidened it yet (This weekend if the weather holds)

Pros (so far):
- The paint looks very nice for a foamie (vs EPO).
- Quick build, like 5 minutes, tops. Really it only took that long because 1) I was really trying not to scratch the paint and 2) because I had to hunt some screws down (see cons)
- Well packaged and arrived in great shape with everything working.

Cons (so far):

- The paint on scratches/flakes off like crazy.
- The screws that "lock in" the landing gear were missing, but I just used some spares from other planes.
- The magnets that hold the cab/battery compartment cover were stronger than the glue used to hold them on, so those snapped off immediately under their own strength. A little extra glue fixed that.
- TX seems a bit on the cheap side compared to the Dynam TXs, but when can you expect for such a great price.

So I just got back from maidening the Edge, and it wasn't good. To start, the design of the battery compartment seems to have been an afterthought. You pretty much have to unscrew and remove the wings to get the battery in, which is a bit annoying. The tail wheel is also poorly designed and is really just a small wobbly disc of plastic on some wire (used as the rudder hinge), which made the plane spin violently to the left on takeoff. I'm going to have to mod this probably to remove the back wheel, cutting the wire and attach a more solid wheel to the rudder directly. On the plus side, the motor has some good spirit and should be enough IMHO to do some tame acrobatics.
