Boy am I glad I wasn't drinking a cup of coffee when I read the previous post!!! I really hate having to clean coffee off of my monitor and keyboard

What really surprises me with this new Hitec is the compatibility with Tactic SLT receivers for the Hobbico TX-R stuff. If Hobbico is sallowing Hitec to do it, why not Futaba

As Mike advised yesterday in the predominant Ayrora thread, extract:
"3. SLT: This is built in and selectable. With this protocol being open, any manufacturer could offer models compatible with it. "

Expect to see other manufacturers also include this feature, it is not just a Hobbico protocol.

Hobbico owns Tactic right?

"Tx-R, SLT and AnyLink are trademarks of Hobbico®, Inc."

. Hobbico Brands
Hobbico is a licensed distributor of Tactic_Anylink Products as they are of Futaba.
. SLT - Simple, effective Secure Link Technology™

However, the protocol which Tactic uses is open source'
As Mike said
"3. SLT: With this protocol being open, any manufacturer could offer models compatible with it."
Anyone can use it and produce transmitters and receivers (their own models) equipped with the same system.
Owners of Tactic Tx or Futaba with Anylink module can also fly the Hitec produced BNF models with SLT receivers.
Do not be surprised to see many more offerings with SLT also then able to fly the TX-Ready models or complimentary models.
