Jimbo320, I love the simplicity of your set up. I am going to start looking for a repeatable setup like that.

I like shooting my GPH3 in medium at 1080p at 60fps. I get great color, good movement, but the planes do get out of reach sometimes. I do not have any decent editing software yet. I think I am settling in on the $129 version of Sony Movie Studio. Its usually about $45 on Amazon.com.

Keep posting those great Videos! That was nice work Wakumann and yours too Jimbo.

Yes youre right. But fly close, it will improve your flying, you are forced to fly for the camera.

Think of it that the ulimate convenience of the GOPRO means you get more footage. It easy to put on your head, takes no setting up and allows you to record when YOU want too.

Most of this was recorded on my go pro. Awesome cam.

Ok, I installed Vegas Pro, and will be evaluating Avid Media Composer as well. There's is definitely much room for my editing skills to improve but here is an attempt at zooming in via the editing floor. The main reason I played with this is because of the previously mentioned poor camera angle and without any ground as a reference point it was pointless to video a spec in the sky. I got HD working with the edited version, but not sure if I did it right or still need to wait for Vimeo to process the raw version.

Jimbo, I love the color editing on your video. I just purchased Sony Movie Studio 2012 Platinum for $40 new on Amazon. I think it was a great deal. I am looking forward to getting a good editing program. In the meantime, here's an video I shot today on my GPro 3 Blk at 1080p @ 60 fps, mid FOV. I compressed it using handbrake to 30 fps and reduced it from 600 meg to a little over 200 meg.

It was a nice day at Lilly Shapell, wind soft out of the West @ 5-8mph. Dick and I were flying our Mamba wings.
