70% Mini Old Fogey

Here is my “Mini Old Fogey”. The idea was to build nice looking, small and simple model for flying outside on a calm day. So I decided to make ~70% version (670mm wing span) out of 3mm depron.

I use 1811 2000kV motor from HK, 7X3.5 prop, Turnigy Plush 6A ESC, 2s 460mAh Turnigy Nano Tech, OrangeRx R410 receiver and two 6g servos. AUW is 132g.

On a first flight I realized couple things. Firstly a small correction of thrust vector was necessary (I added some right-low direction). Secondly I dramatically reduced the angle of deflection on both rudder and elevator (relative to the angles I usually use on F3P style planes ), because the plane appeared pretty sensitive.

Hope this info will be helpful for comparison.

The piano wire (D=1.2mm) is from local hobby store, and the wheels (25 mm outside dia) are from HK. They are extremely light.
