Align 450 RTF or Align 450 Sports kits?

Which one is better for a beginner?

Do you mean 450 "Pro" vs 450 "Sport"? It's recommended that people start with Sport because the tail is more forgiving for a beginner.

I think that's a flybarless 450 sport with a DFC head. Aren't DFC's are known to strip metal servos and wear out faster than regular FBL heads?

I bought the Trex 450 plus version and love it. Very smooth flying bird after setting up d/r and expos.

I was curious about the 450 plus as well. I can't make up my mind between that or a v450d03. Seems the general consensus is the align model is built with better parts?

I love my Align 450 DFC PLUS, it's also a perfect platform for building 450 sized scale ships on, it has a belt driven tail so it can be used with raised tail type scale birds... Plus it comes with a nice radio that is Futaba S-FHSS compatible(it's a Futaba radio)...

After doing some reading, the align fits more for what I'm looking to do. I'm not into the 3d so much as I am into the scale heli's. I can build a scale heli with this model.

+1. If u are beginner and think about rtf package, Align 450 RTF kit is good start. Plus belt driven tail is better than TT for beginner. I owned Walkera 450D01, though not V450D03 but align quality is better than walkera. I carshed V450D01 a year ago but still sitting on shelf cause a bit disappointed on components.

It's been said that Align parts will fit the V450D01, which when the time comes I will be swapping onto mine as well as electronics if needed...

Bugger, i broke it again!
I have one and it flies great. Its a bit of a mix between pro and sport v2 parts so getting parts is easy but you need to make sure you figure out which version of the part you need (DFC main shaft is pro not Sport v2).
Some say the radio is not great, but i havent had any issues and prefer it over the dx6i.
Well worth the money in my opinion, also a great way to get into a 450 sized heli. Especially if you go the DFC version.

well i would go RTF but even better get a second hand one and have fun repairing it and up grading. a new model will cost you a fortune. get a trex 450 basic cheap used one first. do not get a flybarless!. learn to fly on the ground first with hovers and figs of 8. Good steady controls and hovers will stand you in good stead later and ease your pocket in crashes.
