Just placed my pre-order for the C-Z Splendor with Horizon Hobby. It's been cold and snowy in upstate NY so I'm not too worried about how long it takes to get this plane. I do have a CZ Yak and a Visionaire. This plane will round it out the squadron.

Nice video i think you will find the AS3X is on F3A mode in the 0 position, when you flicked the switch on, you turned it to 3D mode which is switch postion 1
i would say thats why you had oscillation at the speeds you were doing?

As for me it was way too windy all weekend for this pilot still blowing today but Wednesday is looking good, Fingers crossed

cheers chuck

I called Horizon Hobby today (Monday 3/4) to ask just that question. Very professional and very nice person on the phone said "they've been released", but are not yet in the warehouse. He couldn't give me a date.

There's one in my LHS. It calls to me quietly, sweetly, insistently, but I resist. Gotta maiden my Super Taiji first.

Enjoying life through flight
Really excited about this one. Just plain awesome. Has anyone flown this? How do you feel the AS3X in flight? I see it as a bonus, compared to the design of the airframe. Not everyday you don't need any mixing (Even w/ out AS3X).

CHUCK!! Get that video out!!

I'm a trained hypnosis guy...

You do not need to maiden the Super Taiji. You need to maiden the Splendor. The Splendor is what you need to maiden. Its caallliing you. You need it. It needs you.

Convinced yet

I want this plane so bad its hard to resist. The only thing keeping me from getting it is it won't fit in my Infiniti fx35. I barely get my eflite t34 mentor in there on an angle. The splendor has the same wingspan but the fuse is huge. Can't wait to hear what you guys have to say about it. Looks like it lands nice and slow.

My LHS in California has them. Typically what happens with Horizon is that they supply all of the dealers who have ordered first, then put open stock in the warehouse for order. Your best bet if you want one is the LHS.

Looking forward to it, Chuck!

(Will your vid include an unboxing segment? I hope so; they're always interesting and informative. Or, was your Splendor unboxed and prepped for maidening before you got it?)
