I agree. But I think they would say functional lights. But again... still misleading. Pacific coast took them off the selves because of the servo problem. Sounds like it's just the end points are set too far. Either way... it is horizon... so warranty and repairs get taken care of rather quickly and painlessly.

I just picked mine up today and I have to say that this thing rocks.
I've also heard about the trans servo needing adjustment but mine was fine. I also found this video that talks about adjusting the end points as well as reversing the trans servo:
How to Switch the shifting direction on your Vaterra Twin Hammers DX3E (1 min 39 sec)

If the only problem with this being a brand new first production vehicle is having to adjust end points in order to keep a servo from frying then we've got it good.

That's indeed a bit sour that the lights are only dummies.

And had they not made a point to say "scale lights" in the advertisment, I would not have said anything. It's just like a rip off to my way of looking at it. I am a big HH fan, but this just feels like a, well, rip off.

Lights are $20 for the uno. So I'm guessing similar for the twin hammers. Really not that big of a deal.

It's the difference between setting expectations and delivering. HH is not a newcomer in the market, they have skilled people to make up the advertizing lines, and they know the ropes and how customers will read those lines. Trust me, there is a lot of science going on in product presentation, and well known tricks that in a subtle way try to steer your thoughts into the direction they want. They know that the word "scale lights" is going to be often interpreted into "working lights" and they also know that they can get away with it, as it's not the same as "functional lights".

That said, it might be a simple job converting them into working lights, although the "glass" doesn't seem to be clear, and might not even be opaque at all. Can someone "shed some light" (pun intended) on this matter?

I have to admit that I'm surprised by how few videos there are on the 1/14ths and the On-road 1/10ths. They are the cheapest.
Oh well, I'll keep waiting :-)

I'm pretty sure Modelflight has them in stock. I'm not sure about other stores though. I'd feel dumb if they weren't released!

Is Modelflight that hobby shop in Australia that Chuck T always mentions in his videos?
If so do they get there stock directly from China or does Horizon ship theirs back halfway around the globe? I'm just curious as to why they always get the first new product notification and the first to have it in stock. Other than being one of the first timezones on release day.
