Lipos in Parallel


Hi can someone tell me, if i place 2 x 3s battery ( 2200mah 25c )

What will the overall amperage be in Parallel ?

Would it be 110a ??

Yes, it would be 3s voltage but 4400mah at 25c.

Yes, your mah will double and voltage will remain the same if wired in parallel. Your mah will remain the same and your voltage will double if wired in series.

The max amp draw for a 2200mah pack at 25c would be 55 amps, so yes, if you hook two of them in parallel you could draw 110 amps. They would last about 2.4 minutes at that amp draw, but the batteries would suffer.

And you can buy new batteries every 20 flights. Good luck on overdischarging at that rate. Strap a fire extinguisher to your hip..

If you know you need 110a constant, opt for at least 4400mah 40c total, ideally 5000mah 40c.

My 2200s barely hold 40A each at around 10.1V and the voltage starts dropping from there. I'd say you would want at least 3 or 4 in parallel if the batteries are that small to hold 110A.

^^ Depends on the C rating of the packs too... a 2200mah 20c pack is only "capable" of 44a, so that wouldn't surprise me if your packs are 20c.
