Wow. So it has it's own gimbal HW (bypassing the bad Naza gimbal)?

Isn't that setup WAY too heavy for the Phantom? Have you installed longer landing gear?

Let's see a video!

Get a simulator and as above^^^^^^buy something to practice on. Phoenix, Realflight or Aerosim are good options.

I started with a Blade MQX, I still love that thing btw. Before the MQX, I used to fly numerous coax helis, that you can purchase at the mall. A couple weeks of flying and getting used to orientation you should be more than capable of flying the Phantom.

well, I have reduced weight on the top and landing. +/- 100gr

the gimbal weighs after being modified ----125gr

I hope to reduce more weight in the battery.

many people are lifting a lot of weight without reducing.

thin graupner prop for motor

I just installed new Graupner props, however, on one of the motors, the prop still spins freely. Seems like the props shaft is thinner than the others. Has anyone had this problem? I solved it by adding a washer between the prop and nut. Any other ideas why is did this?

Been working on a set of skip off the ground and bounce like crazy legs. at first it seemed like a great idea. and I put these together to clear the ground with the vtx and FPV cam under the belly of the Phantom. unfortunately that is not enough space for the GoPro frame mount..

And I simply run it off the GoPro
- On that note I tried to make a 10 pin cable myself with a 4 and a 5 pin cable but no luck. Waiting for one to be delivered in two days along with a basic OSD ($14.99) for battery feedback. Right now I'm using a Hero2 with a cable I put together in 5 minutes.

So far it flies great! This is my first try at FPV and I can get pretty decent range with LOS. Far enough that I couldn't see the quad with my bare eye (I was testing the range and knew how to get back if it cut out). Trees and obstructions do significantly limit the range though.
basic osd for $15. where please nice set-up

did you do any color grading in FCP - your colors look saturated in a great way?

for jello, look at snake river prototyping. they make a snap on adaptor for the new gopro3 that accepts a 55mm nd-4 neutral density filter (you can pick these up cheap on ebay) it will eliminate jello in sunny conditions. adds only minimalweight and makes the gopro look bug-eyed cool. i did find i needed to mod my mount to adjust CG.
