Is anyone selling a 15cc gas engine like the OS 15GT or similar?

I have a Big Bee ARF airframe for free to a good home. No servos, receiver or motor. There is a small tear in the blue covering on top of the wing, but I have matching material. Otherwise the airframe is in perfect condition ready for your components. I originally had it set up with an OS FP-40 but it could easily be converted to electric power.

Greetings from Illinois! I’m David Eichstedt, who some of you may remember as one of the leaders of Horizon Hobby’s aircraft development team (2007-2015). I have some exciting news.

For the last couple of years, I’ve been working on developing a new company devoted to producing new kits, and I need your help. I have a pre-order campaign running specifically to raise funds to make the first production order of kits, and I need your help to let as many people know about it as possible. As of today, I’m only 4 kits shy of meeting the goal. This email is going out to leaders of local clubs across the US – it’s not generated by any special email marketing software, I’m sending it out by hand – and my request is that you simply forward it to your club members. You’re not going to get on another mailing list this way, as I don’t have any special email tracking software.

Why start a kit business? Well, while attending various events over the last several years, it appears to me that kits are making a comeback, a growing niche in the greater hobby market. ARFs are greatly reduced in availability, and customers who want this kind of product don’t want to arrive at the field with an airplane that looks like everybody else’s. As a result, these modelers are willing to build again to get the airplanes they want. It’s not a huge niche, but it is stable and growing.

Many people have memories of building kits that just don’t go together the way they should. The parts often don’t fit properly, and sometimes significant re-engineering is required just to get something that works. That was part of the motivation for me to start a kit business, to apply modern 3D CAD to wood airplane design so these issues go away.
