Can you answer as to WHAT was improved over the Zone V2? L/D? Sink rate? Handling? Much can be said without giving away polars.

Direction of optimization was to increase stability in rough air, improved return performance compared with the classical profiles AG and others are able to find in the public domain. Well, the vertical velocity is also not in last place. Polar in comparison

Root performance has the least characteristic effect on the performance of a DLG. Did you compare the whole wing or just sections.

I'm not being critical... just curious. I have spent months trying to get overall wing performance better on the ZV2 and have done nothing other than mess it up.

Wow. What is there to say? Next time I catch myself grumbling about how much a plane costs, (by a builder, not a factory) I'll remember this vid and correct myself - How on earth can he sell them for that little?

I didn't Yuri, but I'm sure it's more than the $125 I just spent on a TX 2000 2m from R2. Whatever they charge, it's worth it. (Roll eyes?)

And yes, I am an infant when it comes to knowledge of these types of planes and how they are made, but it looks like outstanding craftmamship, and a heck of a plane. It wasn't meant to be a bash at anyone Yuri, I was being sincere. Hopefully one day I'll have the skills to actually appreciate one like this, until then I have to be happy with eye candy and non-informational postings saying "Wow, great job." Sorry I didn't contribute any valuable thoughts or knowledge to the thread.

I apologize Yuri. I was tired and irritable and I should have bitten my tongue. I didn't notice a price either. Beautiful plane though - although if I was building it and had a time lapse rig filming, in the time it took him to do what he did I'd still be taping the plans to my building board, lol.

I know people will say weather is weather, but getting the weather from the atlantic, isn't always fun,

I totally agree with that. For example you can fly an AG4x profiled glider in my region only like three times a year when the conditions suit the profile. I know many pilots will disagree but experienced the same as Jens did...
