Vtol help

I have started my own vtol project and have semi completed the build (pic attached) and used the chimera wiring diagram as a reference. I need help on the coding portion as I am a bit novice at that. thanks for the help

Check out OpenAeroVTOL firmware for the KK2.1/KK Mini, it can make it a lot easier: Needs quite a lot of configuration, but much less work than writing all the code yourself.

You might want to check out the VTOL Trainer build thread.

Also the Simple VTOL Build thread

And of course all the great pictures and links in the sticky thread at the top of the VTOL Forum.

and i wonder how this could be influenced by the new horizons convergence that stops the tail rotor for level flight.
what kind of electronic components are used? diagram? program?

walk before run

i think that for now i better get a convergence and start flying it. later i may use the components for my own plane, that will be sort of chimera layout: high wing, twin booms. and way larger and lighter. am not after fast but just fun.
then, whenever the competition releases cheaper and maybe better models and/or electronics, may be able to experiment.
when i got into micros indoor i got the sukhoi, that was the only plane available at the time, and used the components for my own designs, and this worked fine. you may search into my blog and see what i was able to do. and had lots of fun in the meantime!

A couple years ago at the Toledo RC show I briefly talked to Dave Thacker at his booth, and mentioned that he should sell a parts kit for the Chimera. Then Peter went to work for FliteTest for a year or so, and FT who I thouhht would run with this, never did.
DAve Thacker said there was a chinese company that was interested in selling a complete model. Maybe they can ressurect this idea? Go up against the Horizon model, with one that frankly looks a lot better.
