Starmax 4s 64mm F-35 Thrust Vector model


Alright guys, maybe Im just blind, but I did not see a thread on this model yet....if there already is then I apologize.

I just saw on Hobby Lobby's site that they now have a 64mm TV F-35 model.....for 4s use.

Pulled Trigger on Hobby Lobby Starmax 4s F-35


Just bought one for $99, $111 with shipping!!!...what a deal...great entry-level thrust vectoring model on a proven flyer. Will be my first thrust vectoring. I hope it's not too heavy with extra servos and battery. I got the Thunderbird model.

I am interested in amount of thrust of 64 mm with 4s and how many blades. Could you take some photos of the setup. You will find thrust vectoring a different animal and lot more fun.

I just called Hobby Lobby to get an update on my Thunderbird and they said OOPS we sent out a gray one to you...the others are backordered to April! Trying to decide what course of action to take...

Ooops, no mistake. My Thunderbird F-35 arrived from Hobby Lobby yesterday so everything is good. Haven't unboxed yet but peeked in to see that it was the right plane and all parts look good so far.

I am having problems setting up my radio in this plane. I am using a Spektrum AR8000 Rx and DX7s Tx. Both aileron servos move in the same direction and there are no instructions on how to mix the thrust vectoring. Anyone have any ideas?
I purchased mine from Value Hobby for 109.00 no shipping since I live close and picked it up.

Starmax F-35


Just finished building mine. Had to split the Ailerons to make then worked correctly it cam with the left elevator and left aileron on a Y - same for the right side - moved the elevator to the same Y. Disabled the gear on my DX8 so I can use it for mixing - using a 7 channel RX. Ch 5 - mixed with Rudder on F1 and Aux 2 mixed with Elevator on Mix 1.

xmech2k - do you think that will cause a problem? I do not need the insane roll rate for the maiden flight.
