Fokker Triplane kit on short final

Smoothair's own Morb is doing a beta build thread on our upcoming 1/12-scale Dr.1 Triplane kit over in the Indoor and Micro Models forum.
Since it qualifies as a parkflyer, too, I thought I'd alert you guys in this forum so you don't miss out.

Check it out here:

The kit is getting very close!

I'm waiting for the first batch of cowls from the vacuum former and the laser-cut sample parts are getting a final check for fit.

Here's a shot from the CAD system to show you how it goes together:

And the wings.....

Note: the guns aren't in the kit. Allan Wright at
Wright Brothers R/C offers a nice set of Spandau's.

This kit is a laser-cut version of the plans-built model shown in this thread.

The instruction manual is done and can be viewed here.

Cheers!

Yes, at long last, the first batch of kits is done!

Visit the "kits" page on my website to check out the specs, see some movies, read the manual, and place your order.

new video

Check out the latest video of this little fighter. This is indoor flying in the Seattle Barnowls navy hanger. Great site!

It was a little glitchy for my GWS R4P rx but I did manage to land upright every time! I even placed 3rd in Scale!

Cheers,

Gary

Looks like a great model. More scalish than my Beeline Fokker DR-1. If I can clear some projects this looks like a lot of fun.
