When you can't fly, you can drive ! And when its cold, what's better than to FPV from the couch in the basement with the big flat screen ?

Did that little girl just kick the expensive Summit with FPV system? Just wrong. The perfect combination would be: The dark snowy weather and the snow track already made. What FPV system are you using?

No she just kicked a bit of snow on the truck. But the neighbor's kid stopped the truck in the street and lifted it in his arms and dropped it in the snow I dressed (was in pyjama ) and ran outside like mad. The truck was lying on its back in the snow and the little boy (about 5) was walking in the street towards me, looking down hoping I wouldn't see him. I stayed polite put was firm that he should not touch the truck.

Between you and me, at that age, I would have run after the truck myself

800mW 1.3 Vtx, GoPro cam for day and security 2000 board cam for night. Microphone on the truck, regular omnis antenna.

There must be something wrong with your equipment. You should get way more than that. With the 1.3 I now went to 1500 feet. Will have a video of this soon.

This reminds me I forgot to edit the hijack video of my summit.

Check my blog here (click on my name) and you'll see the install as it was with the stock body. I've been to 450 meters with it, or 1300 feet.

Yea, would be big enough to see it at half a mile LOS if you lose your video link

My set up is the ral simple stock whip. 800 mW 1.3 ghz and simple receiver. The trick is my basement walls are half concrete (lower part) and half 2x6 (last 4 feet) wich are protruding outside the soil. So my antenna really sits behind a wood frame and metal clading about 2-3 feet over the grass. I can still get about 600 feet LOS from the basement and 1200 feet from the kitchen.

All the live footage you see in "the snow track" video is recorded from the basement.
