Mixing ESC's?

I'm thinking of putting together a quad while the snows still out. I have 4 motors, but have two different sets of esc's.
These;

Am I able to mix 2 of each to make a quad? or better to just order another one of one of the two different types?
Thanks!

Well they look almost exatly the same but the sizes are different so chances are the hardware is different.

The real question you should ask yourself is do you mind if your quad flips over because the escs you used respond differently?

I personally say its probably not worth the risk.

I wouldn't mix the ESC's. They might have different response profiles, and this will cause your bird to crash.

Nessesity is the mother of invention. Rig up something and test it out, and report back!

They aren't the same ESC underneath. One has an external oscillator and the other doesn't. They are both Atmel based but certainly aren't identical underneath.

Have a look at this and the pictures for each
