Unless Talle hears the words "treat", "food", or "walk" she doesn't move too fast. She is an immeasurable help though, just by laying there, and not bugging me while I'm trying to work.

She actually moves, Earl. She has to. I feed her in the house.

That's right. The Ravens are playing Sunday, in the Brother Bowl. I probably won't get in much shop time on that day.

Michigan doesn't have a pro football team. We have the Lions.

I'll fix you up with some cartoon wood, Wil. All you need to do is show up.

By the way, did April tell you that I am going to become a grandfather again ?
No she didn't! CONGRATULATIONS grandpa! Babies are always a joy in our lives! And being a single daughter can't be good enough! all the best for everybody over there! It seems next time i visit I'll find a house full of kids playing around!

And the snow... ahh the snow! Much much better than constant nasty rain! First thing to do after my graduation is to get some wood with you ( and make you maiden that stuka)!

Hugs to Joyce and Talle!

Rain you don't have to scoop or move out of the way. Rain takes care of it's self.....for the most part.

Nice looking plane you have there Tom.. I'm kind of liking the cartoon wood fun fly idea

Thanks, Ken.

Before Wil visited me a few years back, he hadn't seen snow.

I would have though that they'd have snow on the equator. LOL

From Cedar Rapids to here is 550 miles. I don't know how far Rockwell is. You'll have to pick up a sheet of cartoon wood. There's no shipping. LOL

I'm north and west a bit. South of the IA / MN border just off I-35. Another 130 from CR to me. Ya I could drive that in one sitting to pick up a sheet of wood

My skills are improving, but I have a ways to go to catch up to you and quite a few others on RCG. Watching you guys build is an inspiration to me. It seems I kind of stuck in a rut now repairing crashed airplanes given to me. I have a C.G. Pitts S12, Extra 300S, Sig profile Ultimate Bipe, Flitton Jumping Jack (old small electric) and a H9 Pulse XT 40. Not to mention I need a new wing for my Cap 232 and my ever so slow Zlin. At least I know what has to be done!

As I remember, you were growing a few balsa trees, Wil. Maybe you need to harvest one of them.

The cabanes and wing mount formers have been installed.

I cut the front fuselage sides and the firewall out of 1/4 ply. The front fuselage bottom was cut from cartoon wood. I glued the nose pieces together, and glued them to the fuselage as a unit. I then skinned the nose with balsa,

The IP former was cut from 1/4 balsa and a 1/4 pice was run from it to the firewall.

The nose bottom was used as a "jig" to get proper alignment of the nose pieces. Later, I will cut it open, to make a hatch for fuel tank access.

As usual, Talle was in the shop, provideng assistance. I forgot to take a pic, though.
